Healers Required!
Bunneh writes "Phoenix Rising is trying to push through 25 player content but is unable to do so due to lack of active healers. We are now opening our doors to prospective players who are of a healing nature.

Please be aware that we do not need any more DPS specs as we're already overladen with them. It is likely any DPS players joining with a prospect to raiding won't get a spot in our raids. Any guilds that are currently aligned with us need not worry, there are spots available to their members.

Please visit this thread to read the guild rules first:

Guild Rules (opens a new window)

If you're still interested please read the following thread as well:

Want to join Phoenix Rising? (opens a new window)

Then after you have read all that you may place an application.

Thanks."

Guild news and stuff.
bunneh writes "It has been a while since I posted a new article so here's some news, very brief and to the point.

Maulgar and Gruul have both been dispatched, and are now actually quite easy. We have two Karazhan groups running at weekends with follow ups, if needed, on a Tuesday. Three bosses are now dead in Zul Aman and we're working on the fourth.

In the following weeks we're going to start playing with Magtheridon, who will be a change of pace for us. SSC is on the horizon, and even though we got our toes wet we wanted to get better gear from Kz and Heroics first.

Raid recruitment applications are closed, we are not accepting any new members accept friends/relations of already active guild members.

That is all, you may go now."

Maulgar go splat.
bunneh writes "So our first ever Gruul run a few weeks back was a bit of a mess. Getting that pull right was a bugger, and most of the time we'd last 20 seconds and die. Well we tried again last weekend and it was a successful run!

Gathering the forces of PR and PE together we entered Gruul's Lair with full intention of ripping Maulgar's head off. 8 wipes later we finally got it together and the adds started dropping one by one. Finally, after lots of shouting 'DIE YOU FAT BASTARD DIE' down Teamspeak, he did just that and fell over.

Maulgar dropped 2 tokens and the Hammer of the Naaru. Lucky winners were Thebaron who got his Druid shoulders, Takar who got his, and Fusthedog who won the hammer.

Well done guys!"

Serpantshrine Caverns
bunneh writes "The time has come, finally after much thought, poking of gnomes and catapulting of bananas, Phoenix Rising is heading to SSC! Initial forays will be to test the water, we have the damage and healing to do it, but do we have the organisation?

On the 20th of October poor old Veil will lead a ragtag fleet of players into unknown areas, in Snotflake's case, the showers, but the rest will be in SSC dealing out justice on evil doers.

How will we cope? Who knows, but I'm assuring you that we'll have a damn good time finding out.

Usual screenshots will be posted in the guild forums (which you need to be a guild member to see). "

WoW: Trading Card Game
bunneh writes "I've seen people waddling about on their turtles, their 'exclusive to TCG' pets and tabards but the urge to buy a pack just wasn't there. After a while I started to take notice that maybe I was missing out on something, so I popped off to various websites to see what was attainable.

Turtle, yeah I'd seen that. Gorilla, meh, got more pets than a crazy old lady. Spectral Tiger Mount, some ghostly mount. A Taba......um, hang on, go back a bit.....a Spectral Tiger Mount? Oh dear giddy God! Blizzard had me by the now shrunken ghoulies.

I did some digging, mooched about and there it was, a kitty mount, 100% speed, just like the Night Elf epic mount, but with a ghost skin! I had to have it!

So off I trotted to Play.com, ordered the £5.99 starter set and got excited. Now admittly I knew the chance of this dropping was lower than a limbo dancer with depression, but hell it was worth a go.

To read more you need to open the whole article. "

Prince Malchezaar - Dead!
bunneh writes "After roughly 4 months of Karazhan casual runs the evil Prince Malchezaar died to the hands of 10 brave adventurers.

Up until now it's been just been him and Aran causing problems, now both of them died in a blaze of fireballs, ruptures and rawr rawrs!

Screenies have been posted in the Screenshots forum and congratulations to Yepa who got her Tier 4 helm token, Freaky who got the lovely Sunfury Bow of the Phoenix and Thebaron who got Farstrider Wildercloak.

Well done all!"

Aran dies, again, at last.
bunneh writes "For a while Aran was quite an easy boss in Karazhan, we downed him on our first ever attempt and he was basically on farm, then something changed.

We then spent a few weeks trying to kill the awkward sod and he would just not die. We got Flame Wraiths as the elementals spawned, no one could tank them due to be unable to move so they'd just nuke who they felt like. Aran was basically a mute topic, but then......

.....THE SOD DIED!

The guy went down last night with little trouble and what a relief it was. Illhoof proved no trouble and was dispatched like a cheap wine into the trash.

Tuesday is now free for a full 3 hours work on The Prince and Nightbane.

Good luck guys!"

Gruul's Lair, babies, exploration and ZG.
bunneh writes "For the first time in a while, Phoenix Rising is stepping into Gruul's Lair to test the ground. After months of farming Karazhan and screaming abuse at the Prince we've finally decided to have a break from the same old routine.

Since we don't have any guild alliances formed, everything we do is off our own bat and we do it for fun and a giggle. Of course we want to succeed but if we don't it's no big problem.

The old days of SSRA are now long behind us and what a relief it is to see it gone. Whilst it was fun there were a few too many loot whores and selfish people to make it a comfortable place. The SSRA forums are now redundant and no longer paid for."
